About

The story behind Geetify

A platform built out of frustration - and love for music.

Why Geetify exists

If you have ever searched for a Kannada or Telugu song's lyrics in its native script - and came up empty, or found a badly formatted page with no romanization - you know exactly why Geetify was built.

Regional language music is rich, deeply expressive, and emotionally powerful. Yet the internet has largely ignored it. Finding lyrics in the actual Kannada or Telugu script, understanding the meaning in English, or following along in real time while a song plays - these were near-impossible tasks for most fans.

Geetify is the answer to that frustration.

What Geetify offers

  • Song lyrics in native script (Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and more)
  • Romanized lyrics - so you can sing along even if you can't read the script
  • English meaning and translations
  • Synced / karaoke lyrics that highlight as the song plays
  • Artist profiles, album pages, and full discographies
  • Community-powered - users can contribute and correct lyrics

Who built this?

Geetify is a personal project built by a solo developer and music enthusiast. There is no company, no team, no investors. Just one person who wanted a better lyrics experience for South Indian music and decided to build it.

The platform is designed to grow with its community. If you love South Indian music and want to help make lyrics more accessible, you are in the right place.

Languages supported

Currently: Kannada and Telugu.

Coming soon: Tamil, Hindi, English, and more regional languages. Geetify is built to be multilingual from the ground up.
